District 7040 Interact Mission to El Salvador, March 9 - 21, 2005

DAY 6: Tuesday, March 15th, 2005

To kick off our day, we were guests at the Club Rotario San Salvador Cuscatlan Rotary meeting. We all enjoyed a wonderful breakfast of sunny side up eggs covered in tomatos, refried beans, rolls, and fresh orange juice. Many people spoke and exchanged not only their thoughts and ideas but also commemorative Rotary banners. We concluded the meeting with several of our fellow Interactors expressing their thoughts to the group on the trip so far and what’s yet to come.

After that, Crystal went to visit her foster child from world vision. It was a once in a life time experience for her that she’ll never forget.

Around the same time, Jess went to visit the American Embassy. That, too, was an incredible experience for her. She had gotten her picture taken with the ambassador and it should be sent to her local newspapers to be published.

Meanwhile, the rest of the group went back for day number 2 of painting the children’s hospital. We were joined by some Salvadorian Rotoractors which helped speed the process up.

Finally, we concluded the day at Club Arab, a local country club, for a delicious dinner and to join the Rotoractors in their meeting.
