District 7040 Interact Mission to El Salvador, March 9 - 21, 2005

DAY 10: Saturday, March 19th, 2005

Warmest El Salvadorian greetings from Dr. Art, Ben, Bojan, Chris and Ron

Our last reach out to the Salvadorian people today came in the form of a medical clinic at the Mui Grande Medical Clinic.

Along with three Salvadorian medical interns, Dr. Art was able to see and help over 450 people, including 144 families.

The group was split into four teams, which rotated between duties at the pharmacy, soccer/basketball, face painting, and the distribution of goods. These goods included clothes, kits of tooth brushes/paste, soap, and other hygiene-related items. Other donation were also made throughout the day, including 4 soccer kits, each able to properly equip an entire team.

We feel that our final attempt to reach out to the Salvadorian people has truly been a rewarding one for both the team and the people we were able to help.

After a two hour drive back to San Salvador, we are eagerly looking forward to a night on the town at the Dolce Cierro Club – a great way to wind down after 10 days of intense work and play.

We would ALL like to thank the Cuscatlan Rotary Club for opening their hearts to us, and by doing so, forever emblazing the El Salvadorian people and culture in our hearts.

And finally, congratulations to the entire team of interactors and our team leaders, for the amazing success of Mission El Salvador 2005.
