Tentative Schedule of Activities

February 11, 2006 Final Orientation
Day 0: Thursday, March 9 8:00 pm - Meet at General Vanier Intermediate School, Cornwall. PACKING!    
Day 1: Friday, March 10 2:00 am - Bus arrives (driver Rory Evans)
2:30 am - Depart General Vanier by school bus
4:00 am - Arrive at Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport
6:11 am - Depart for Miami, FL. American Airlines, flight No. 527
9:56 am - Arrive at Miami and meet Ligia - the Team Leader
11:50 am - Depart from Miami to San Salvador. American Airlines, flight No. 925
1:40 pm - Arrive at San Salvador
              - Lunch at Comedor "Sendy", San Luis Talpa
5:00 pm - Arrival at Hotel Happy House. Rest
Evening  - Welcome. Sorting of donations/medicines. Go over week's agenda. Orientation.
              - Prepare for first medical clinic.....
8:00 pm - Dinner at the Hotel
Day 2: Saturday, March 11 7:00 am - Leave for CIDECO, La Herradura for 1st. medical journey
12:30 pm - Lunch at Cideco (box lunch)
3:30 pm - Visit fish farm to assess need for future missions
4:45 pm - Return to the Happy House Hotel.
Day 3: Sunday, March 12
Elections Day!		 7:30 am - 9:00 am Bicycle trip on a mountain in the city. (Antiguo Cuscatlan)
12:00 pm - 5:00 pm Free afternoon at Multi Plaza (Mall) for lunch, shopping, movies, games arcade, etc.
              - Pupusa Party ( Interactors, Rotaractors, Rotarians)
              - Prepare for 2nd medical journey
Day 4: Monday, March 13 6:30 am - Leave for San Miguel for 2nd medical journey.
8:00 pm - Dinner-Interact Cuscatlan Meeting at Club Arabe Salvadoreño.
Day 5: Tuesday, March 14 9:30 am - “David J. Guzmán National Museum”
              - “Marte Museum” ( Art Museum)
12:30 pm - Lunch at Galerías (Mall) food court.
3:00 pm - Handicraft Market Place (downtown).
              - Sight seeing-Main Cathedral, National Theatre, National Palace.
6:30 pm - Club Arabe Salvadoreño for swimming and dinner before the Rotaract Meeting.
8:00 pm - Joint Rotaract and Rotary meeting.
Day 6: Wednsday, March 15 8:30am - Leave for the Coffee Cooperative at Ciudad Arce.
              - Coffee tasting, process, plantations, etc.
              - Donation of gloves and T-shirts
              - Tensiometro, termómetro, medicines (if you have them)
              - Take snacks (food and drinks)
              - Lunch at Metrocentro- Santa Ana Mall (food court)
              - Visit Tazumal and Casa Blanca Ruins.
6:30 pm - Dinner and swimming at Los Bambúes.
8:00 pm - Return to the Happy House.
Day 7: Thursday, March 16 8:30 am - Leave to Chalchuapa Orphanage to visit girls (ahijadas).
              - Take donations, cakes, drinks, piñatas.
              - Working day at the site.
              - Box lunches
4:30 pm - Return to San Salvador.
              - Dinner on the way back or at the Hotel.
Day 8: Friday, March 17 8:30 am - Leave for the orphanage “La Casa de mi Padre” in the city.
               Working day on the site:
              - Painting the outside of the house.
              - Gardening inside, and outside.
12:30 pm - Lunch at the “Pollo Campero” in the area.
2:00 pm - Back to the orphanage to continue the work.
4:30 pm - Back to the Hotel
7:00 pm - Dinner at “La Gran Vía” Villa María Mexican food.
Day 9: Saturday, March 18 8:30 am - Leave for the Orphanage to finish the work.
              - Lunch in the orphanage / Lunch Boxes or share lunch with kids.
5:00 pm - Return to the Hotel
7:00 pm - Farewell dinner at Castro's Home.
Day 10: Sunday, March 19 Beach Day at Las Hojas Resort.!!!
Packing to return home!
Day 11: Monday, March 20 4:30 am - Load truck to go to the airport.
00:00 am - Depart Hotel Happy House, San Salvador
8:34 pm - Depart to Miami on American Airlines, flight No. 926
12:03 pm - Arrive at Miami
1:25 pm - Departs Miami to Montreal on American Airlines, flight No. 1932
4:47 pm - Arrive at Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport
00:00 am - Bus arrives at the Airport for pickup
00:00 am - Arrival at General Vanier Intermediate School, Cornwall
