DAY 8: Thursday, March 15th, 2007RESPETE LA VIDA CONSTRUYE LA PAZ This credo means to respect and make all peace which we learned at the girls orphanage in Santa Ana today. In the morning we first met Reina the orphan that John, Margaret, and family sponsor. Then we took a bus ride to Santa Ana and didn't arrive until about 1pm. While there we entertained and made sock puppets, coloured, played ball and Tanner got to know the young ladies. Everyone bonded very closely with them. The hours we spent there flew by and before we knew it was 6:30 and time to leave, it was very emotional. They put together dances to show us, and they put Canadian music on and we all made idiots of our selves dancing, singing and just having a good time. We didn't realize how affected the visit with the girls would be for them and us. We all agreed that today was what this trip was worth. At the end of the day we had a birthday cake for James.
