DAY 11: Sunday, March 18th, 2007We got up at 7am today, so much for a late morning. We got on the bus at 8:30 to go to Otto’s beach house. We had a 45 minute drive to the beach house. Everyone was really excited to go in the ocean so after sun screening we all headed down to the beach. The sand was black and very hot, so we did a 100m sprint to the water. Some people boogy boarded while others jumped in the waves. It was a lot of fun. The water was perfect-not too cold, just very salty. At about noon we went to the beach house for lunch and swimming in the pool. Then some people went back to the beach while others swam in the pool or had a nap. After collecting 2.5 l of sand the beach crew headed back to the house to cool off in the pool. At 3:30 we departed for our supposed 45 minute drive which turned into over 2 hours-traffic was bad! Once back at the hotel we quickly got ready to leave and head for Lissett’s house for our going away party. We dined on hot dogs and hamburgers which was exactly what we wanted! Once back at the hotel the water works began as we started part 1 of goodbyes. They all left and we started packing to get ready for tomorrow. Chelsea and Emma |
