| District 7040 Interact Mission to El Salvador, June 26 - July 7, 2009 |
DAY 11: Monday, July 6th 2009Itīs sad to say but the trip is winding down and everyone was definitely looking forward to a day at the beach! We got up bright and early to get to the beach before the tide came in so the currents would be safe to swim in. The bus departed at 6am to go to Oscar Sanchezīs beach house. We had a great day of sand, sun and swimming and it was definitely a great way to end the trip. On the way home from the beach we stopped at a school where water tank and backpacks were donated by the Rotary Club of Deep River on a past mission. It was great to see the school doing so well and everyone was happy to see us! When we got home we packed our bags and had a pizza dinner to say good-bye to some of the Interactors, Rotaractors, and Rotarians who helped us during this trip. Everyone is sad to leave because we have all grown to love this country and itīs people. Thank you to everyone who made this mission possible, it was absolutely amazing. |
